PROJECTS: 27 - 32 Poultry, London EC2 - built 1924 - 39 as the head office of Midland Bank, which at the time was the world's largest clearing bank. Lutyens designed the exterior elevations plus the ground floor banking hall, basement safe deposit area, directors' and boardroom floors plus staircases and certain other areas. The remainder of the building was designed by Messrs. Gotch and Saunders.
